Ashland State Park
One of the best-preserved natural areas in Ashland is Ashland State Park. The park provides miles of hiking trails, a beautiful reservoir, a boat launch and a beach. After discussions with the Department of Recreation and Conservation (DCR), the committee has obtained permission to construct a section of the trail over the dam. Within the park, the trail will enter near the intersection of Route 135 and Memorial Drive (formerly referred to as the MBTA Access Rd.), cross the dam, and then exit to Main St along Cold Spring Brook using a boardwalk.
